Cool design and unique concept. Good for both designers and students, I think.

KERN is a great-LOOKING game. Its visual design is top-notch, and to be expected from a design house. More surprising, then, is the sub-par UI design, and underwhelming game mechanics that make this a very pretty, but still pretty shallow game experience. Im still waiting for that pivotal mashup of typography and game design -- this aint it.

Very pretty, but thats all it has going for it. I love typography, I love word games, but this has nothing to do with either field.

The graphics are simple but cool, but there is 0 depth. You shoot letters into predetermined spaces. Requires no thought whatsoever. But for a buck, its mildly entertaining.

Those who gave bad reviews you are missing the point.

Worth more the the asking price...beautifully simplistic yet challening and fun.

Its actually the only game Im certain Ill continue to play.

This game is pretty but has nothing to do with challenging your type skills or helping improve them... Again, dont waste your money...

Will not stay on... Might be able to play one level or whatever then crashes, that is when I can actually get out of the menu...

It crashes after one or two levels... FIX THE CRASHES PLEASE. Game is fun, but I only get to play it 10 seconds at a time. :(

If I could get a refund this would be one of them. I thought I was going to learn more about kerning. Its just a really lame game where you wait for a word to fall that has a missing letter and hope that your letter was positioned in the right place when it drops there. Took a couple minutes to figure out what was going on. Then it stopped being fun.

Needs a larger vocabulary of relevant words. Perhaps rotating thru different fonts?

Do I even need to say it? Ill give it a free star for the concept alone, but Id really like to play what I have paid for. Update: The app eventually started working, but I noticed it has some junk settings options. I dont mind your testing, but dont add stuff to my settings page if it LITERALLY does nothing. At least do us the courtesy of updating the app without the junk settings. My rating will remain the same until then.

Needs to be optimized for iPhone 4 retina display. Its fun app to me being a graphic designer and obsessed with typography but I would have figured making it high resolution would have been a must for a designer type app. Please update for it and I would give it 5 stars.
